21th year

Festival ZAHRADA is one of the biggest festivals in the Czech Republic and the biggest festival focused on the genres of world music, folk, folk-rock, ethno, country music, Celtic music, bluegrass, jazz, tramp music, blues a gospels.

This year it is going to take place for the 21th time, from 2nd - 5th July 2010. The festival is located in the beautiful scenery of the chateau park and surrounding in Náměšť na Hané near Olomouc in the central Moravia. There are four main stages at the festival, but you can hear live music from a lot more places in Náměšť and in nearby towns. Altogether, more than 150 bands and soloists are going to perform at ZAHRADA. Apart from the most interesting bands from the Czech Republic the organisers expect musicians from Poland, Slovakia, Great Britain, Ireland and other countries.

For the visitors, a lot of extra actions are prepared. There are plenty of possibilities to eat directly in Náměšť, and also accommodation can be found there. It is possible to camp in a tent directly at the festival heart; more comfortable accommodation, both cheap and luxury, can be found in the nearby town Olomouc, reachable either by car or by the festival bus.

Tickets for the festival can be obtained at the advance-sale agencies (also in Poland or Slovakia), or directly on the spot – and due to the size of the scenes there is no need to be afraid of the lack of the tickets. The festival pass (for the whole ZAHRADA) costs approximately 24 Euro; one-day ticket costs approximately 10 Euro.

The Olomouc region is very rich in cultural monuments and other interesting places, so you can combine the visit of ZAHRADA with sightseeing and of course with the good Czech beer or other pleasant things...
